Kay O'Hara is a Canadian pinup glamour model, currently residing just outside of Toronto, ON. Kay was named among the Top 10 Modern Pinups in an article published by AskMen.com defining the 10 most influential pinups in the genre [1]. Kay began her on-line tribute to classic and modern pin-up in 1999 with her site klassnsass.com, whose name changed to pinupglamour.com in early 2001. The memebers area of pinupglamour.com officially closed in July 2012.
A pin-up girl, Kay's image has been painted in over 250 pinup artworks and is muse for a number of internationally acclaimed pinup and contemporary artists, including Jack Henslee, Kim Harlow, Barbara Jensen, Lorenzo DiMauro, Monte Moore, Susan Heidi, and Jessica Dougherty. Kay has also been rendered in art by Jon Hul and was included in his "Jon Hul Sexy Art Book". Kay's classic pinup images may be seen in print and calendars - Kay was chosen as the sole Canadian pinup representative for the German-based Pinup Animal Rescue 2009 Project [2]. Kay's image was featured as the Miss April, Miss May, Miss September, and Miss October Pinup in the sold-out marketing campaign for Eidos Battlestations: Midway PC and X-Box game. In the spirit of WWII pinup and nose art, Kay's "Operation: Pinup" website paid tribute to and supported military personnel via her dedications and over-seas shipments. After 10 years of service, "Operation: Pinup" closed in July 2012. Kay has been awarded the Joint Forces Special Command Pinup of the Year award, and was voted by her peers as Centerfold in the hard cover book "Pinups for Troops" [6] an independent project by the creators of Pinups for Troops for shipment overseas to troops on active duty.
