Feel Your Boobies! Sweeties, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month - an issue very close to our hearts (excuse the pun!) All around the world, organizations will be holding events this month planned to get the word out about early detection and prevention of breast cancer. In her lifetime, the average woman's chance is 1 in 8 that she will develop breast cancer. Right now, the survival for early stage breast cancer is very good - around 95% - so early detection is critical.

Getting to know our bodies - self breast examination is very important for women to know their own body and they should start at about age 20. Please encourage the women in your life to learn how, and do, self breast examinations - and get involved too - I promise, you'll love it!
